Our Venues

Family owned and operated since 2001

Michigan Shooting Centers has two southeast Michigan shooting range locations, one in Brighton and one in Lake Orion. Both are easily accessible from Detroit’s major metropolitan regions and surrounding cities. Our grounds are meticulously manicured, our equipment is up-to-date and functioning, and our staff is both experienced and friendly.

Patrick Lieske, a world-renown sporting clays shooter and coach, founded Michigan Shooting Centers in 2001. To this day, we continue to be a family-owned and operated. For this reason, we are not your typical ol’ shooting ranges. We know what it takes to make your experience something truly special, and we are willing to go above and beyond to make sure this happens!

A Little About our Outings

Whether your goal is to thank your top achievers, share time with valued clients, or raise money for a notable cause, we’re here to help exceed expectations

The popularity of the shooting sports is increasing all over the country. Dozens of corporations and non-profit organizations have already discovered the excitement and fundraising potential of shooting sports outings. It is your turn to give it a shot!

Our specialty, and our most popular outing activity, is clay target shooting. The popularity of clay target shooting is increasing all over the country, with women and children being the fastest growing demographic. If you have yet to give it a shot, you will find that it is an addictive and fun sport that is suitable for shooters of all skill levels.

Over 90% of our outings elect to partake in one of our sporting clays packages. Sporting clays is the closest thing to actual field shooting of all shotgun sports. You may have heard of sporting clays referred to as golf with a shotgun, and that’s a fair comparison.

Sporting clays courses are designed to simulate the hunting of ducks, pheasants, other upland birds, and even rabbits. Since there is no set season and it can be shot at any time, many hunters shoot sporting clays to further their wing-shooting skills during the off-season. Targets may be thrown from literally any angle or distance, and six different sizes of clay targets are used to further give the shooter an exciting experience.

A typical clay target shooting outing at Michigan Shooting Centers would starts with registration around 9am, a shotgun start on the sporting clays course at 10am, followed by lunch and awards around noon. However, we can accommodate any timeline. Rates start as low as $35 per person for our à la carte 50 sporting clays package.
