Job Description:

Michigan Shooting Centers is seeking a Club Shooting Pro to join our team at Bald Mountain Shooting Range in Lake Orion, MI. This role plays a key part in enriching the shooting experience for members, guests, and the public by delivering high-quality instruction and educational programming.

The Club Shooting Pro is responsible for a wide range of instructional offerings—from private lessons and group clinics to youth development and community outreach. As a visible ambassador of the club, this individual promotes safety, etiquette, and skill development, while also supporting broader operational and sales initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and professional instructor who enjoys mentoring shooters of all experience levels and building a positive, inclusive shooting sports culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver private instruction in shotgun, rifle, and pistol disciplines
• Lead group clinics, workshops, and skill-building sessions for a variety of experience levels
• Develop and manage educational programming to promote member growth and enjoyment of the sport
• Organize, coach, and oversee youth shooting programs and junior development initiatives
• Stay current with instructional trends, safety standards, and industry best practices
• Collaborate with club leadership to enhance member offerings and instructional services
• Monitor range activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols and club rules
• Promote a respectful, welcoming, and safety-first environment for all participants
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional instructional space
• Represent the club in a professional manner in all interactions with guests, vendors, and the broader community
• Assist with course starting duties during tournaments and events to ensure smooth operations
• Actively foster an inclusive and supportive club culture
• Promote participation in leagues, competitions, and registered shoots
• Assist in the planning and execution of league nights and special events
• Build camaraderie and community through education, mentorship, and friendly competition
• Provide educational support and product demonstrations to help customers select appropriate firearms and accessories
• Support retail staff by answering technical product questions and guiding guests to suitable shooting solutions
• Contribute to instructional content, signage, and promotional materials as needed

Schedule:

This is a full-time, on-site position scheduled Wednesday through Sunday, including regular weekend hours. Availability on Saturdays and Sundays is required.

Compensation:

Starting wage of $18.50–$21.50 per hour per hour, based on experience, education, and certifications. Overtime opportunities will be minimal—effective time management and productivity during regular hours are essential.
