10 • 22 • 2022
[LAKE ORION, MI] The Real Men of Orion and Bald Mountain Shooting Range will host the fourth annual Clays for a Cure® breast cancer event on Saturday October 22, 2022. Clays for a Cure® has been a massively successful fundraiser event for the group, raising $7,500 last year alone and almost $20,000 since its inception.
All proceeds from Clays for a Cure® are donated to the Real Men of Orion, a local group of Lake Orion men who team up to raise money for the American Cancer Society’s Real Men Wear Pink campaign. There are four ways individuals can participate to support this great cause:
- Test your skills as you take to the sporting clays course and compete as a team. Course of fire will be 75 targets per person. Teams can be as large as 6 shooters, with the best 3 scores counting. Cost for the competition is $140 per person which includes targets, ammunition, lunch and a golf cart rental. Trophies will be provided to the first, second and third place teams. In addition to the proceeds, Michigan Shooting Centers will donate 10 cents for every target hit. There will be two start times, 10am and 1pm, each limited to the first 14 teams.
- New to shooting or never shot before? No problem! Have a go and learn how to shoot shotguns under the watch of a certified instructor. Cost is $75 per person which includes 25 targets, ammunition, ear protection, eye protection, shotgun rental and lunch. There will be 4 time slots available, each limited to 15 participants.
- Shooting not really your thing? Join us for the catered lunch and partake in some low-impact activities such as ax throwing, corn hole, archery and BB guns. Cost is just $40.00 per person. Lunch will be served from approximately 11am – 2pm.
- Honor a loved one or advertise your business by purchasing a sponsorship. A variety of sponsorships are available starting at just $200. 100% of all sponsorships will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Each sponsorship will include a 18″ x 27″ yard sign prominently displayed at one of our stations during the event.
