Spring steel target shooting kicks off at both of Michigan Shooting Centers’ locations in May! Come on out and shoot steel reactive targets with your pistol (and rifles that use traditional pistol cartridges like .22LR, 9mm, etc..). During steel shooting, we permit safe rapid fire and full use of your magazine.
The cost for steel shooting is $20 for non-members of $5 for members. The 25 and 50 yard ranges will be closed to all non-steel shooters on steel target nights, which will be from 5pm-8pm on Wednesdays at Bald Mountain in Lake Orion and from 5pm-8pm on Thursdays at Island Lake in Brighton.
In addition, Bald Mountain will once again be offering Scoot ‘n Shoot on Thursdays from 5pm-8pm. Scoot ‘n Shoot is phenomenal training that is a lot of fun! Scoot n’ Shoot offers several practical pistol shooting scenarios on the rifle/pistol range. This is not a competition, but an opportunity to train in a safe environment. Scenarios will include drawing from your holster and reloading magazines while shooting. Range safety officer Joe Pagano will accompany each shooter through the course. The rifle/pistol range will be closed to individuals not participating in Scoot n’ Shoot beginning at 5pm on these days. Cost is $20 per person.
